Look: Pours a dark orange, leaning amber with a booming off-white head that finishes as a lovely, cratered pillow and leaves webs of lacing on the rim
Aroma: Grapefruit, navel orange, light peach, Cara cara orange, raspberries, tangerines, and bready malt
Taste: Starts off with what seems like the start of a citrus party before being interrupted briefly by peach, that pops in, says ‘hi,’ and exits. The citrus party ensues with loads of everything I got in the nose and these develop depth as raspberry peeks in throughout, closing out with more citrus, peach, and a light bite
Mouthfeel: Full, clean, medium-high carbonation, and smooth on the finish with little to no dryness detected
Overall: This is some good stuff. I believe I had tried this before but it was before I started reviewing beers so stoked to do so and this one was tasty. It’s a well-made IPA with nice citrus presence, a clean feel, moderate ABV, and WC in style. I can dig that and worth a try if you see it

CASCADE LAKES BREWERY – ELK CAMP IPA
At the first sip you can tell this is a great tasting brew. The flavors are a mix of apple, pear and citrus skins flavors. The brew is a easy to drink beer due to its low hop bite. I highly recommend this beer.

12 oz can from Homebrewstuff. Deep golden body, foamy head, fine carbonation. Malty aroma, caramel, smidge of hops. More toffee, caramel flavors with a slight hoppy edge. Smooth, easy drinker, tasty AF.

one of their better beers in my experience, technically solid, a little old school on the malt build, but well hopped, fresh from the can, and dynamic to me, a whole lot more than just bitterness going on here, more juicy than anticipated for one this malty looking, clearish too, some shine, and yeah its a little amber, but its unexpectedly radiant on the hop side, im sure freshness is helping with that, but this is immediately working for me in the nose. its minimal on the ferment, boldly hopped without being bitter or green, northwestern without being all pine and grapefruit and simcoe, and without any hop spiciness, to me its sweet orange, mango, and fresh flowers of all things, where is this coming from and what do they use? the flavor hits in the same arena, again juicy, a little peach, definite orange and orange candy, and i dont mint the toasted or even caramelized malt sweetness, the body isnt that full and it really doesnt drink too heavy or rich. bitterness does kick up a bit as it warms and later on, but its never too much, fits perfectly for an ipa from this part of the world, and i have to rank this among the better beers ive had from cascade lakes, absolutely.

12oz can, canned on 8/21/19, poured into 14oz teku. Poured a somewhat cloudy medium orange color with about 1/3 inch of white head that had low-moderate retention and very light lacing.
The aroma had low, but definite, malts, with a combination of classic hop bite, and some modern joose hops.
On the tongue the more bitter hops were prevalent, while the other components stayed in the background.
The body was light-medium, fairly average.
Drinkability was fine, nothing special, but easily enjoyable.
Overall, worth a shot, but fairly unmemorable.

Hazy pale gold with two fingers of bone color head. Some lacing as the level drops.
Smell is pale bread crust malts with floral hops.
Taste is floral hops some light pine note bready malts.
Mouthfeel is medium with alright carbonation. The finish is dry and mildly bitter.
Overall a classic IPA. Canned on 07/03/19.

12 oz can from Habits store in S. Salem OR
Actually quite a gorgeous looking beer in my tulip. Hazy deep burnt orange with a lovely thick creamy cream coloured with orange head.
Aroma of deeper rich hoppy fruits if you understand? Has the hazy type fruitiness..but more autumnal.
Taste is the same as the aroma. fruits..candied spiced orange..over ripe papaya etc..sounds gross but its nice.
I am afraid the mouth feel lets this down a good bit..it has barely any carbonation and makes this watery and uninteresting in the end.
What happened this was lining up to be a good hazy then the weak mouth feel..i wonder if its much better in keg?
