Look: Clear medium orange with an imposing head that quickly forms a huge pillow, holds, and settles to a lid, leaving great lacing behind
Aroma: Lemons, limes, oranges, a little cut grass, floral hop notes, and some malt that comes across quite bready
Taste: Kicks off with a tremendous citrus punch that includes the oranges, limes, and lemons I got in the nose and quickly joined by waves of grassy and floral hops. Bready malt holds it together but this is all citrus-heavy through the close
Mouthfeel: Full, decently clean, medium-high carbonation, and closes with just a hint of dryness
Overall: I dig it. This is a tasty summer ale that drinks as a lighter pale ale with a citrus-focused theme, which according to the can is from Amarillo and Cascade, which makes sense given what I got out of it. A good change of pace beer from lagers and a well-made somewhat extra pale ale as well

intended as an easy drinking summer beer, this is another one from these guys that overshoots the malt mark a little bit, too grainy to be refreshing, and despite excellent carbonation and being fairly dry, its just not that light to drink on, not refined enough to be crisp and clean, and while not bad, also not a standout in this style, two in a row from these guys that came in a little below where they should for me. golden and rich toned in the glass, fizzy and heady, clear and bright, looks lighter than it drinks. i get a little bit of a metallic thing to the ferment, some light breadiness to the yeast, almost english, dry enough, but not snappy or thirst quenching. i like being a little hoppier, a lot of things called summer ale are often just renamed blonde types, but this really does bring some citrus pop to the flavor mix which i think adds a cool fresh element. i get some weirdness late though, an almost powdered peanut butter dustiness and nuttiness to the finish that definitely cant be intentional, it just makes this seem a little amateurish to me. a few tweaks from really hitting the summer mark, at least for me. have still yet to really be wowed by a cascade lakes beer...
