"Our Extra Special Bitter is full of rich, complex flavors and is nicely balanced with a generous amount of Kent Golding hops. The Flash Flood name was our brewer's inspiration--it was August, a huge thunderstorm blew through town, caused areas of localized flash flooding, but our brewer didn't wait it out... oh no, there were thirsty patrons anticipating the introduction of a new brew that day! Then, as his trusty old Ford pickup plowed through the torrent of water running across the road, the as of yet unnamed keg in the back of his pickup would from then on be "Flash Flood E.S.B." The alcohol content is 4.8%."

This is the beer that keeps me thinking I should return to Klamath Falls -- soon. In a word, it's beautiful. Flash Flood arrives with a full finger of smart, well-sustained head – thick as lamb’s wool and white as cotton. It is served as a glass of clouded gold. The aroma is lightly hoppy.

Though its color and effervescence are not strictly traditional, Flash Flood is delightfully bittered with a generous measure of Kent Goldings hops and boasts heavy lacing with tight, continuous carbonation. Its crisp, enthusiastic flavor is expressed in great profusion, making Flash Flood a brilliant session beer and a certain contender for best ESB in Oregon.
