Cask. Amber. Thin frothy head.
A nutty malt smell emanates from the surface. Some honey present.
Demi sec flavour. Toffee, caramel and assam tea is apparent.
Soft cask feel. Medium body.
Reasonable at best.

500 ml brown bottle, courtesy of Cardinal pub, Stavanger. This is an "organic" beer. Clear golden colour, large and lingering head. Moderate but okay aromatic hops with notes of honey. Flavor is instantly "dusty" hops (First Gold and Hallertau), then some hints of honey and caramel, while a distinct but not overdone hoppy bitterness carries you through, and stays with you in the aftertaste. Not bad, but I am not convinced that Hallertau is the best hop for a golden ale.

Appearance: oragney-brown, slight haze, hardly any head formation
Aroma: where is the aroma, exactly?
Flavor: light fluffy maltiness with a slightly citrus hop flavor; finishes dryish with a lasting bitterness at the back of the tongue
Mouthfeel: medium body, mild carbonation, soft texture
Other comments: Very understated. Almost to the point of blandness.

Coming in a 500ml bottle, this offering is filtered and "made from wholly organic material". Served cool in a goblet.
A: pours a pale amber hue, with a reasonably foamy white head and moderately fizzy body.
S: profoundly biscuity and creamy malt upfront, with dashes of honey and flowery scent (reminiscent of lemon sponge cake with sweetened lemon peels on the top), while rich fruit esters abound.
T: bitter-sweet pale malts, dryish tea hoppyness followed by slightly tang of zest (fruit unidentifiable); amazingly lingering tannin-like dryness at the back, with a moderately bitter aftertaste and the slightest touch of maltiness in the finish.
M&D: the beer is medium-bodied but treads on the palate dry and lightly. With a nice contrast b/w richly fruity and malty nose and a hoppy bitter palate, this makes a fine, session-like premium bitter, arousing more and more thirst as it goes.
