Manchester marble blaPours almost completely black, with a big, bubbly beige head.
Smells of oranges and roasty toffee malts, earthy with a citrussy peak. Quite hoppy on the nose actually, pleasantly accentuated by the roasty sweet malts. Matured, leafy hops add a subtle herbal aroma, which makes up for a nice complexity on the nose.
Has a soft, creamy, fuller mouthfeel with a very satisfying, slightly effervescent dry finish, countering its initial maltiness.
Tastes of sweeter bakers chocolate, toasty bread and toffee, together with dried oranges and chocolate covered figs. A fruity lemon bitterness develops from out of nowhere with an accompanying exotic fruit hoppiness, prickly kiwi and soothing water melon. Dry and slighty sweet at the same time during the finish with a convincing rusty maltiness wrapping around the now prominent hops.
Bursting with different flavors, while maintaining its balance, together with awesome mouthfeel and a long lasting dry finish. Awesome!
