Murky brown, no head
Very vinous frome the wine barrel aging. Dark fruit notes and berries. Almost some funk like apple cider funk in the nose.
Nice but not their best work

Draft at In de Wilderman in Amsterdam
Light foamy thicker head fades semi quickly, nice lacing dark maroon mahogany brown color
Nose interesting like Oude bruin, little sour brown malt mash, tons of raisin and prune, sour grape and red wine, mild earthy red wine, little vanilla oak barrel, soft aged malt
Taste big barrel and bold beer flavors, strong funk as well, sour brown malts, tons of raisin prune and sour red grapes again, little chewy brown malt, big oaky barrel with Brett and funk, an almost Madeira wine like or port with grappa and mild fusel alcohol notes. Finishes a bit flemmy little bitterness clashing with tartness and acidity.
Mouth is fuller bod a light sticky sweet and flemmy mild acidity and some alcohol tingle.

Bottle. Clear dark amber. Thin wispy head.
A sour, fruity aroma remeniscent of old windfall apples. Some distant toffee and mincemeat.
Quite vinous with a hint of blackcurrant and raisins. Complex flavours. Some tartness.
Medium bodied. Soft
I prefer this to the Bourbon BA.
