12/06/20: 16 fl oz pull-tab can with a blue label nabbed for me at the brewery by my friend Zed - thanks!

Served cold into a shaker.

"Hazy India Pale Ale." 7.2% ABV. No hops are indicated on the label, but press releases online indicate Idaho-7 and Galaxy.

Has a vague tropical fruit bend...dried lime, papaya, maybe guava, passionfruit even (I guess that's the Galaxy coming through). A bit floral. Odwalla juice or Naked juice is the hop profile target here, which isn't really my jam in an IPA (turbid or filtered). Pale malt/2-row, fruit slurry, pulp.

No stone fruit, black tea, or well-defined tropical fruit flavour from the Idaho 7. I do get Galaxy's signature passionfruit flavour as noted above.

Balanced enough but not immaculate. The hop profile just isn't great in comparison to what else is currently on the market. It's drinkable enough, but I don't love it.

16oz can into a pint glass. Canned 9/21/20, so a mere 4 days old. Brewed in collaboration with 15 other PA breweries to use a loophole in PA beer laws prohibiting selling other breweries packaged beer to go UNLESS it's a collaboration. This 4 pack was picked up at Shy Bear a few hours ago.

Looks outstanding in the glass, thick orange juice colored body, with a loose bubbly white head. The head shrinks to a ring and covering, leaving some nice lacing. Decent carbonation.

Mixed fruit aromas, mostly non citrus.

On tasting, smooth, fruity, a little on the dank side. Warm from the abv. Very well balanced.

Mouth is closer to full than medium, finish bittersweet with a hint of dank.

Overall, a very good beer. The premise is very amusing and innovative, but the star here is the beer itself.
