With hop levels pushing Black IPA territory, Duquesne Heights brings a robust hop-roast combo to bear while staying somewhat light on its toes. Notes of pine and chocolate bring it all home.

Usually hate happy stouts but this one was pretty good! Deep dark black with a 1/2 of mocha tinted foam. Smell is herbal but good chocolate and roast. Taste is very smooth piney hops round with mild Cocoa powder and slight chocolate notes. Body is full and silky good sipping beer.
Overall I was impressed a very decent Stout in the vein of black ipas.
