Pours copper in color with a dull hue. Mild fog to the transparency. Head is two fingers of tan foam. Aroma is caramel, dark fruits, candy sugar, a little molasses, and late plum and toasty malts. As a whole, it has sugary contents that get drowned out by some toasty, earthy malts. Flavor profile is candy sugar, with caramel, toasty and earthy malts, and herbal, sticky, piney malts. It's sticky with some sweetness sprinkled in throughout. Mouth feel is medium in thickness. Texture is sharp, with a near crisp effervescent start that finishes soft. Overall, a little over the top bitter for the style, but otherwise pretty steadfast in delivery.

Poured from a can at fridge temp, Pours a murky orange with white head. The nose is orange, tropical fruit (guava, passion fruit, a bit of papaya), and a bit of caramel. The taste follows the nose. Really nice layers of caramel, tropical fruit, and some citrus peel hops. A floral note becomes noticeable with a few minutes. Prunes, raisins, and a slight syrupy feel. Sweet and bitter, with neither dominating. Overall, a really nice beer.

Thanks to adrock314 for this 12 oz. can. A couple quick Google searches reveals absolutely nothing about this beer. Guess I’ll have to guess.
The pour is IPA circa 2010 a clear, see-through gold with a low white head. The aroma is gently sweet with a bit of citrus. Faint, quiet.
Also, Thanks! belies its mild demeanor with a sneaky jolt of booze up front. Now fully awake, I note there’s not much else here. It’s sweet, reminiscent of Karo corn syrup & might be a little citrus. Thick & syrupy. A sample sippy cup would have been fine.
Wheatwines are rare in my corner of the world & I’m fond of them. This one? The definition of a mediocre beer.

The surprisingly clear golden to amber body builds a moderate white head settling to a thin ring leaving spongy walls of lace on the glass.
The first wheatwine I've had in this vein, it's like a triple IPA on steroids, while deftly yet unexpectedly eschewing any heavy bitterness or heat. It's lightly dank and cannabic while simultaneously citrusy to the point of having Trix-like undertones.
The lightly syrupy medium body is softly carbonated and finishes semi-dry yet lightly sticky.
While every aspect of this was new yet familiar to me, I still don't believe that the style guidelines on wheatwine have been adequately nailed down. I've had very few wheatwines that were remotely comparable to each other, but this is the most extreme outlier yet.
---
And as suspected, this did not age any better than a triple IPA would. Musty, cardboardy and cat pissy elements have emerged not even a full year later, in December 2022. To be fair, those elements aren't intensely forward, and as such it isn't nearly as bad as an aged 120 Minute, but it's not as good as it was fresh. The disappointment comes from the fact that this is supposed to be a Wheatwine, whatever that even is, considering the style still hasn't defined itself well, particularly based on the inconsistent array of outcomes at breweries across the country. Still, I won't change my score as this was cellar-aged.
