Serving Type - Growler
Appearance - Light golden tan/yellow, without much of a head or lacing.
Smell - Pale malts, yeasty, rye mixed with floral hops, biscuit and grassy, maybe some caramel and orange.
Taste - Rye mixed with bready/grassy malts makes up with brew. Light hops and yeast also stand out in each drink. Some caramel and lemon spice also. Very clean/crisp and smooth with a little mild bitterness at the end.
Mouthfeel - Light, smooth and very easy to enjoy. Tounge gets the malts, rye and some hops. Palette gets remaining malts and rye with some hop bite and a yeasty pale ale flavor. Aftertaste is malty, bready/biscuit and dry.
Overall - Very smooth and a decent amount of flavor for such a low alcohol beer. Tons of malts with a little added rye and hop to give it some aded flavors. Would love to try this same recipe with added fresh wet hops! Another one off brew from east end that im blessed i got to try.

Had this on tap at the South Hills Mad Mex. ABV on the menu clocked in at 4.2%
A - Pours a hazy yellow color with slight amber and a nice half inch of bubbly head.
S - Smells of sweet biscuit malts, mild hops, bit of spicy rye, and a touch of caramel sweetness.
T - Clean and smooth the rye and hops blend and are balanced buy the sweet caramel malt. Finish is rather bitter but clean.
M - Light to medium. Had more body than expected (expected a light beer at this ABV)
D - I wouldn't refuse one and it did help quench my thirst after the big hop IPA. Well rounded APA, wouldn't change a thing!

Growler from EEBC -> american pint
Feb. 2011
Pours a cloudy pale goldened orange with a small inch crown of head off a super aggressive pour.. Chalky sheets of lace initially, then only random dots. A day after the fill carbonation remains robust.
Nose: candy caramel, some funk, thick concentration of hops, pellet like and resiny, more citrus fruit emerge as it warms. Approaches freshly hopped wort, and by approaches, i mean spells just like it!
Thin and light in the mouth. Sweet rich caramel malts dominate the initial taste. Hops emerge with sweet fruity mix of orange rind, peach, and delicate mango. A mild spice dances in the background from start to finish.
A good session brew that is a perfect start to Super Bowl XLV
