Probably the perfect beer for the casks at Piper's Pub, only 3 cask lines with only one ale one on this visit. Pours an amber copper hue with a creamy white head fine speckled lacing. Aroma has a nice explosion of fresh grain and caramel malts with an earthy herbal hop background coming through. Flavor wise has a superb malt profile the warmer temp and low carbonation brings out the roasted caramelized malts like no other serving format, ample but low hop bitterness provides a nice earthiness and depth to the overall flavor profile. Mouthfeel super creamy easy going slow natural carbonation with an overall medium to light body. One of the best sessional milds I've had yet from Scott's series of session ales, and here's to Piper's for the good food and brews.

A: Pours a hazy brownish color with some golden hues. Provides a small foam head with some nice spotty lacing down the side.
S: A little lighter on the nose than expected. But there is a nice scent of toast, caramel and biscuits.
T: Starts off with a mild sweetness of caramel and biscuits. In the middle, the malt character becomes smoother, almost like a honey type taste, but not quite honey. Finishes with a lot of caramel and sugar.
M: A nice light bodied beer with ample carbonation.
O: A really tasty mild ale. Very smooth and easy to drink. Quite refreshing on a hot summer day.
