Incredible! I have been working diligently to eradicate The Bottle Backlog here at Chez Woody as well as getting The CANQuest (tm) back on track. This has enabled me to CANduct a number of brewery horizontals, but even I was incredulous when I realized that I have a slew of Redd's Ales of various stripes with which to perform an extended horizontal.

From the bottle: "Special Release"; "Limited Pick"; "An Exceptionally Crisp Ginger Apple Ale".

Dang these screwed-up screw-top bottles! How I despise them. In response, I gave it an aggro pour to vent my frustrations, filling the kitchen with the odor of ginger. Wow! I dig fresh ginger, especially with sushi, so this should be interesting. I continued my pour even as it acted like Ginger Ale pop and developed a finger of fizzy, bone-white head that was dissipating as quickly as I could pour. Nose was so intensely ginger that the apple part of it was simply overwhelmed. This was a Ginger Apple Ale for ginger lovers. Color was a Golden-Amber (SRM = > 5, < 7) with NE-quality clarity, bringing forth The Gelt Gang of Croesus, Midas & Mammon for a taste yet again. Leaning in, I got a whiff of some really pungent ginger, but again, not much else. Mouthfeel was thin, kind of watery, a step backwards from the others. The taste was almost all ginger, although there was something else present, but I am unsure that I would have identified it as apple on my own. Finish was incredibly dry & very refreshing on a hot summer's day, so it had that going for it. On the other hand, it lacked balance so that unless you are really into spicy ginger, it is going to be overwhelming. I kind of wish that I ha another for an upcoming sushi night.

Aroma is apples/slight apple juice and medium ginger. The flavor is apples, fruit, ginger and a mix of mild/medium sweetness, tart and slight heat in the finish.

The ginger flavor spices it up a little bit and gives it some extra flavor to apple, although it's not very different from a regular redd's apple ale.

Bland and uninspiring. Smells of wet farts. Ginger level is too low for what is promised on the bottle. Drinkable without question and enough of them will get you where you need to go. Usually Redd's are okay, but this is my least favorite of the bunch.

Redd's Ginger Apple Ale has foam, which instantly fizzes away. The appearance is a pale, clear, bubbly gold, similar to ginger ale. The aroma is of ginger and sweet apple. Taste is of spicy ginger, sweet apple, and a blonde ale base. Mouthfeel is low medium, and Redd's Ginger Apple Ale finishes crisp.

Redd's Ginger Apple Ale | Miller Brewing Co. Poured from a 16 oz can into a pint glass, this brew doesn't have a head, nor is lacing present, and it has a medium amber body.

I smell straight up GINJAH!!!

Tastes like some Canada Dry over here. Not really picking up too much apple flavor. Very enjoyable for it is, though.

The mouthfeel is medium-light with fair carbonation.

I'll rate Redd's Ginger Apple Ale | Miller Brewing Co. with an overall 4. A very tasty, clean apple ale. I rarely ever have an "apple mood", but even then the ginger takes center stage here, so this could potentially make a boozier 7&7. Hmmm.....

Redd's Ginger Apple Ale brewed by Miller Brewing Co., With an ABV of 5.00% To start with this is one of there limited picks, so since I have reviewed most of the Redd's Ales I thought why not. This ale pours out a nice golden amber color with a thin white head. The head to this brew goes away fast after the pour. Has the look of most Redd's Ales on the market, not saying that is a bad thing. The smell is rich with spices and apple. You do pick up ginger, possibly nutmeg . You really can't pick up on any grains, malts, or hops in the smell of this brew. The look and smell of this Ale is really inviting. Now for the taste, it is sharp with flavors. You first pick up on the ginger and spices then the apples. I will give it this , Redd's Ginger Apple Ale is unique to the Redd's Ales. I really like the spice in this brew. There is really nothing overpowering about this brew, it goes down smooth. The mouth feel of Redd's Ginger Apple Ale , is Rich, Bold , Clean and Refreshing. Overall I'm giving Redd's Ginger Apple Ale a 4.25 out of 5. I would buy this brew again. If you are a fan of Redd's Ales look this one up. Miller Brewing Co., Did a nice job with this one. Thank You.
