Light mahogany color with a two finger beige head with medium retention.
Nice aroma for a bock with notes of creamy chocolate, caramel and some fresh red fruit.
Flavor full of spices, toasted and roasted malts, lager yeast, some pine, licorice, hints of smoke and caramels. Perceivable hops that partially offsets its malt sweetness. Dry aftertaste with a medium bitterness.
Medium body with good carbonation. Alcohol of 7% abv is harmonic with the beer and appropriate for the style.
That is one of the best local bocks, with good spices, well balanced and sweet, but not really cloying.

One more shoutout to Sergio for this beer from the so-called beer capital of Brazil; Blumenau. From a stubby 600 ml bottle, on to the beer:
Darker amber in the glass, almost like a season in a glass. Not much in the foam department besides the stuff that lingers around the glass. "Super" bread crust aroma in the nose, which dominates for awhile but eventually fades to make the nose less exciting.
When I think bock, I think liquid bread with a slap of alcohol. Well, Bierland Bock does have some of that liquid bread, but the twist of cola this...different. I don't really get the kick of alcohol, given that this sits at 5.8% ABV. It's a very relaxed bock, one this isn't very heavy, one that is easy to approach, and one that certainly came out a little different from expectations.

From a 600 mL bottle, thanks DoubleJ,
A: Pours brown with a medium off-white head. Good colour, spotty lace.
S: Direct malty smell, caramel, cookies and cola.
T: Mellow malt, but still fairly full flavoured. Hint of copper, light hop character, a malt dominated beer. Pretty good, has balance.
M: Medium-bodied, smooth, soft carbonation, tingly in the finish.
O: Certainly a more impressive beer than the Vienna from this brewery, I liked this quite a bit and would have again.
