back on at upstream old market. pours impossibly pale white with just a hint of orange yellow to it, like water with some yeast haze. smells like perfume, not fresh peaches as advertised. not unappealing, but odd for a beer. flavor is very very light and delicate, maybe too much so. the peaches are hard to pick up on and the wheat malt seems to be only about half as flavorful as it should be. not sure if this was experimental or what, but it didnt go very well in my opinion. feel is just so light its easy dirnking but for what purpose? i didnt really care for this, and maybe thats why its listed as retired. should probably go back there or be reorchestrated. didnt dig.

Hazy, pale yellow-white in hue, it is a little sickly looking; it was served with a bright white head of a finger in height. The head retention was good; it took a long moment before it faded to a tight, soapy cap. The subsequent lacing was spotty. I felt it was served a little too cold to really enjoy the nose, I could detect notes of peachy-wheat, a little lemon too, some yeasty hints as well. The bouquet is simple and straightforward, as a whole the aromas are blended well. Vaguely inviting. The palate is simple and little more than peach flavors added to a wheat beer. How ho-hum. Subtle yeastiness and light lemony-tart notes try to elevate the complexities but they cant overcome the soft flavors of the peach. Honestly I am disappointed that Upstream would use this a Spring Seasonal. First of all, I found it to be rather pointless because it is a downgrade from their regular American Wheat (which is good for the style). Secondly, they already offer a lousy fruit beer in the regular lineup, this is overkill; I believe that seasonal beers should be special. This was far from even being noteworthy. This beer was refreshing but very boring. Medium-light in body, natural but low carbonation, the mouthfeel is adequate. I found this to be very underwhelming; I was willing to try once. Not recommended.
