Saison spiced with jasmine and green tea. Part of the "Brewer's Whim" series.
On tap at Upstream in the Old Market. Omaha, NE. September 15th, 2011.
A: The beer poured a golden yellow color with a thick head of fluffy white foam. Numerous strands of fizzy bubbles rushed to the surface. Light lacing was present and clung to the sides of the glass.
S: Very strong yeasty farmhouse aroma with a hint of straw. Nice herbal notes of jasmine and Japanese green tea linger in the back.
T: Flavorful mix of grain, yeast, hops and green tea. There is a fragrant almost perfume-like note from the Jasmine that helps bring a balance to the barnyard funk.
M: Light and crisp mouth feel. Average fizzy carbonation.
O: The jasmine and green tea were what drew me to the beer. Not the best, but definitely worth trying.
