Pours a dark ruby red with almost no head. Smells of tannins and rosemary with a hint of red berries. Taste follows the nose, with an intense rosemary character, some subtle tannins, notes of red berries, some oak and a light acidity that leaves a very slight, not unpleasant, tart sourness in your mouth during the aftertaste. I really like this one, takes me back to the Rosemarie, one of the first beers I had at Braustelle. This one is even better though. I'm not necessarily a fan of aging beer in wine barrels, but I think it works really well here, with the tannins harmonizing really well with the rosemary.
