Pours a deep amber coloration with a medium, frothy head. Smells of grapefruit with maybe just a hint of mango as well. There's also a very faint herbaceous, earthy note in there somewhere. Taste follows the nose, being quite hoppy, with a distict, juicy and slightly zesty grapefruit note. Perhaps a hint of mango as well. Some biscuity malt and wheat coming through as well and also a very faint herbaceous, earthy note. Finishes with a light bitterness. Smooth, soft mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation. This is not what you would expect from a Specialty Grain beer at all. There is actually not a lot of grain character coming through, except maybe for a little wheat and that very slight, herbaceous note from the rye, probably. It's quite hoppy and juicy and almost reminiscient of a NE style IPA. It even has that soft, slightly fluffy mouthfeel. Definitely the best IPA I've had at Braustelle, very nice beer.
