Pours a dark brown coloration with a medium, creamy head. Smell is quite subdued, with light notes of grainy, roasted malt and chocolate. Taste is dominated by roasted malt, milk chocolate and lighter coffee, with just a hint of licorice and and a certain earthy note as well. Finishes with a light bitterness and a certain earthy note lingering in the aftertaste. Thin mouthfeel with a light body and medium carbonation.
This does have pleasant flavor profile to it, but does suffer from a somewhat thin and watery body/mouthfeel, unfortunately, especially for an Oatmeal Stout.
