I don’t have much experience with roggenbiers. This might just be the second one I’ve tried.
It pours a malty brown color. Smells bready, with a malty aroma like a sourdough rye. Makes sense given that it’s a rye-based beer.
There’s a mellow rye kick to this, some malty sweetness and an earthy peppery flavor. Smoothly rounded, it’s like drinking liquid bread.
