Once our eyes were opened to the potential of the hop cone, we couldn’t be stopped. With a laser focus, we magnified the hop factor, and pushed the boundaries of flavor, aroma, and perception itself to create HI-RES. It’s Mad Science.

The beer pours out into a Duvel glass quite clear and amber or light copper colored with a 1” ivory head that recedes to a thin film over the liquid, leaving a ring of foam around the glass and leaving behind a thin almost circular ring along with small patches and legs of lacing. Sipping leaves foam on one side of the glass and small patches, some speckles and a few legs of lacing.
The aroma is resinous, citric and slightly earthy with noticeable malt undertones.
Initial hop bitterness becomes sweet, citric, and piney before moving back to a lightly bitter finish. The alcohol is barely detectable here as it is well integrated with the other flavors and makes its presence known more from the warming effects than from showing in the flavors.
The mouth feel is medium bodied and smooth. with light prickly carbonation. While the carbonation is adequate it is a bit on the light side. The finish is long and dry, inviting another sip.
This is indeed an excellent DIPA which is tasty enough that one is tempted to have more than one, which could be a mistake at this ABV. Throughout the beer the flavors are sharing the stage with each other and no single element dominates the show. I certainly intend to try this beer again.

Hazy, golden color. Nice, white head. Dank hops, pine, and tropical fruits in aroma. Malty backbone with strong, hoppy bitterness in taste. Full-bodied and smooth.

This is probably too much for me in the abv dept, but pretty darn impressive to hide most any of the booze behind a wall of hops. This one's got some bite to it, glad I tried it and wish there were others from this brewer available locally.
