16oz can.
L: Light haze, pale orange, no head or lacing.
S: Faint white wine vinegar, some yeast and citrus.
T: Softly funky with moderate chilli pepper heat and (surprisingly) some bubblegum. Sourness is very light.
L: Light body with moderate carbonation.
O: Easy-drinking farmhouse ale with hot sauce added and more than a hint of American wheat beer. Decent enough thirst-quencher.

It poured out of the pint can much like an ordinary adjunct lager. But, now that the contents have been emptied into a clear glass liter mug, the differences show. It's a little lighter in the golden amber color and a little hazier. There is the same modest off-white head, but there's not the same aroma. This one definitely has a honey sweetness to it and hopefully, it's not just anticipation that brings just a little heat. It drinks like a commercial lager, thinly and watery. There are some mass produced beers with better bodies. Also missing is some malty sweetness, although the honey compensates somewhat, without making this too sweet. What this offers is spicey heat that makes a significant impression. No, it's not Safeword from Free Will (look it up), but the burn here is noticeable. Appreciated as it is, this is one of those single layer taste treats. It's decently hot, but not necessarily tasty, because it's one dimensional. There's some heat, but nothing beyond that. It probably doesn't help matters that the base here is a farmhouse ale, rather than an IPA, or stout, which bring robust flavors of their own to stand up to the heat. Even a little more honey might have improved the complexity of its taste. Back to the adjunct lager comparison, the glass lacing is about the same. Someone that appreciates beers with a peppery heat bite shouldn't complain, because options are limited. It's almost like any found are better than nothing. That's where this lands, far from the best, but at least it's an option.
