On-tap at Mugs Alehouse, Brooklyn, NY
A: The beer is very dark hazy brownish red in color. It poured with a quarter finger high beige colored head that has good retention properties and left a thick collar around the edge and a large patch of bubbles in the center of the glass.
S: Sweet aromas of toffee are preset in the nose along with hints of caramel malts.
T: Much like the smell, flavors of toffee stand out in the taste, which also has notes of malty sweetness and slight hints of bitterness in the aftertaste.
M: It feels full-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation. Notes of warming from the alcohol are also present.
O: This beer is very malty and has some sweetness, but lacks any stickiness so it isn't that difficult to drink. It definitely seems strong, but there are only hints of alcohol in the taste. The muted hops make this taste more like an English Barleywine.

Served on a goblet glass.
Appearance: Mahogany body, with medium bubbles throughout. The head is mellow, maybe 1/10" and dissipates quickly before the first sip.
Smell: Heavy alcohol and sweet brown sugar smell, hovers your nostrils (a lot).
Taste: Wow incredibly complex, sweet with heavy malts and a barley feel and did I mention sweet? Has honey caramel notes that are incredibly addicting. You feel everything from butterscotch to barley.
Mouth: medium bodied mout that feels light to to some extent depending on how you expect the texture. One thing Sixpoint made clear, is that they want you to remember this beer, it sticks like white on rice.
Overall: Absolutely a quality brew and maybe Sixpoint's most prized gem. Feels more like English Barlwine, considering the properties of the brew but nonetheless it's quality. Salud!

Poured a deep amber hue with a half finger foamy off white head. There was good retention and lacing.
The smell featured molasses, light cocoa, lactose and alcohol.
The taste mirrored in intensity to aromas. Sweet earthy caramel and dark fruit predominated with a drying hop at the finish.
The mouthfeel was typical of the style with a lingering heat.
Overall a complex full blown booze fest.
