12 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy deep orange/copper color with a 1 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of grapefruit, orange zest, caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Okay aromas with good balance of citrus hops and dark/bread malt notes; with very poor strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, caramel, toasted biscuit, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine/citrus peel/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon/orange peel, pine, caramel, toasted biscuit, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/pine hops and dark/bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Light dryness from lingering bitterness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/sticky, and lightly resinous balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.2%. Overall this is a good pale ale. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/pine hops and dark/bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink. Other than the basically non-existent aromas; the flavors were really good and well balanced for the style. A nicely enjoyable offering.

A caramel beer. Hardly a hop to be found, this was mostly malt. Taking beer styles back to the beginning of the current craft beer cycle 10 years ago. A bit of colour to the body. Drinkable. Average mouthfeel with a tad aggressive carbonation. I have had worse beers.

Poured from a 12oz. bottle into an English "pot" pint glass.
Dark copper in color, with a short head of off-white foam.
Aroma-Herbal hop note
Taste-Tangy floral hops, citrus zest, spicy malt.
Nothing to write home about here, just your basic middle-of-the-road pale. It'd be all right with a plate of tacos. Ho-Hum.

12 oz bottle
not very much head - darker color than typical pales; almost like an ipa in color and smell. The smell is nice - a little sweet, but nice clove-esque aromas in the brew. NO HOPS TO SPEAK OF in the taste or smell. Honestly, the beer is quite thin in terms of body and flavor. This is the Ryan Reynolds of beer, it looks alright at a glance but has no actual substance. In conclusion, no hops + no malt body = kind of a lame, overly sweet beer.

Arrived at my table, a clear, deep golden hue with a slowly receding, foamy white-head. The aromas were of citrusy American hops with spicy malt odor. The flavor had a solid hop bitterness that was complimented by a nice touch of malt. The ale's marked bitterness calmed down as the ale warmed.
Crisp, medium bodied mouthfeel with a nice, bittersweet aftertaste.
This was a very good American style pale ale in a crowded market; not outstanding, but solidly drinkable and refreshing.
