The Lochasa Lager was one of the seasonals on Tap at the Boise Ram. Named after a local river, the beer was served in an oversized shaker.
The beer is darkish gold with a dense white head. Nice lacing.
The aroma is of grains, floral hops and a bit of plum.
The taste is slightly sweet with some crisp cracker notes. There is mild bitterness and some apple on the finish.
I like the lively carbonation and malt backbone. Nice lager would be an easy crossover beer. Goes great with food!
