Had a goblet from humperdink's.
The beer was a pale golden color, small head that left almost no lacing.
It smelled very metallic and like hay.
Had a grassy pilsner like taste.
It wasn't overcarbonated and went down very easy.
This is what you should order if your a big macro drinker.

Bought at Humperdinks on NW Highway in Dallas.
Served in an ice cold glass, the beer so cold it had ice crystals floating on top.
Appearance: Light straw color, fair head.
Aroma: Faint sweet malt aroma.
Flavor: Sweet grainy malt flavor, with only a faint bitterness. Clean, simple finish.
Mouthfeel: I'm docking them here for serving the beer at ridiculously cold levels. They brewed, they should know how to serve it. Otherwise, light, thin body.
Easy, simple drinking beer. Might be better at a decent temperature.

Had this one on tap at the Big Horn Brewing in Boise Idaho. When the waiter brought this over I didnt think it was a beer at first. I thought it was water. This is the lightest colored beer I have ever had. The smell wasnt there and neither was the taste. I had to ask the waiter if he brought me a glass of water by mistake. Ill never get that one again.

A friend from Belgium once told me that "American beer is like making love in a canoe".. He was undoubtedly referring to this one, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
My very first craft brew was a Sam Adams blonde, brewed fresh at their old brewpub on Sansom St. in Philadelphia. I'm not sure that Big Horn's version of this entry-level style accomplished the same thing with my friend, although he did seem to enjoy it.
From my perspective the appearance was golden and maybe a little on the clear side, but nice for a blonde nonetheless. The smell was average, a little fruitiness but nothing special. Taste was rather bland with no hops to speak of (and very little malt). Mouthfeel was middle of the road, average carbonation and fairly easy to swallow.

Pours a clear pale golden straw color with a thin white head that quickly fades into a sticky lace. Nose is faint notes of sweet malts. Taste is light, clean, and crisp with notes of mild sweet malts and very little hop bitterness. Its promoted as a step up from the macros, which Ill agree with, but Ill also say that its a small step up.
