Served in a shaker pint glass at the Schaumburg brewpub.

Brewed in honor of the Ryder Cup coming to nearby Medinah, this is a light-bodied lager brewed with German ingredients. It pours a clear pale straw topped by a half-finger of white foam. The nose comprises light wheat, light flowery grass (or grassy flowers...whichever...), and a light bit of what seems like corn but could be something else (though still similar). The taste doesn't try to surprise anybody by adding or removing anything, but rather it sticks to the formula outlined by the smell. That being said, a touch of vague sweetness does find its way into the background, staying all the way through to the finish. The body is light, with a light-ish moderate carbonation and a crisp, airy finish. Overall, this stuff ain't really that bad. It doesn't claim to be much, and it delivers on that, providing nothing more (or less, really) than a relatively low-ABV, thirst-quenching lager.
