A - Pours a pinkish orange (apricot), not blonde at all. An agressive pour yields nothing but a thin cap, despite the moderate carbonation.
S - Very low level aromas. herbal and grassy.
T - Taste starts out ok for a blonde; some light malts and respectable noble hops... but the aftertaste is a turnoff for me. Instead of a refreshing snappy finish, it's soft, buttery sweet and fruity (sorta apricot-ish like the colour). As I drink more of it, the aftertaste improves and I am getting more hop bitterness at the end.
M - Carbonation and mouthfeel seem about right. Dry finish helps get rid of the aftertaste.
D - If you just gulp it down, and don't think about it too much, it is very easy to drink. However, I doubt I'd want another.
Ok for a lighter style beer I guess. There is no major flaws, but it is not exactly setting the standard for brewing excellence either. This just isn't very exciting. A gateway beer, but nothing more.

Take two for this brewery today. This offering will fare better than the Blanche du Fjord.
The colour is a mellow amber caramel colour free from any russet hues which I find are often present in beers from this family. The head is much more respectable as its creamy cream coloured cap of fluffy bubbles is generous and rather long lasting. Seems to be some lacing initially but is much more subdued than the first appearance leads to believe.
Aromas are VERY faint. The slightest whiff of grains surfaces after much agitation and is followed by shadows of floral and grassy hops... and I'm drinking this offering on the warm side.
Flavours are mellow and simple but enticing. A malty softness comes to rest on the tongue up front. Gentle fruity flavours follow in an infusion-like manner, slowly shifting with quiet notes of floral hops. The mouthfeel is reminescent of a cask ale as the carbonation only slightly awakens the tastebuds with a gentle spritziness. This time the bottle label lore is more accurate.
La Cap Trinité is much more satisfying than the previous offering I sampled today and is worth buying again sometime in the near future.
