This whole post is worthless. I went to Trader Joe's today and was told they no longer carry it. It seems that whenever I find something special at Trader Joe's the next thing I know they don't carry it anymore. Maybe the owners of Trader Joe's, Aldi Supermarket, carries it. Die sind richtig Doff.

12 oz bottle about 3 months prior to the BB date. (From Jan. 2017 notes).
This is an Americanized version of the style with relatively high ABV (4%), a fuller body, and a higher sweet/tart ratio. Still, lemony, bready and refreshing, as expected. Particularly fine aroma for style: it’s not just lemons.
Amber body has excellent clarity and a good white head.

Quite sweet and fizzy, but not much head in the glass. Vaguely fruity smell. Watery body and flat after some sipping. Quite lemony. I think of an Arnold Palmer with too much lemonade. It doesn't actually taste like beer, it's more of a sweet soda sensation. I don't think this is a very convincing imitation of a Radler. From the 12 oz bottle purchased at TJs.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with a fine two finger head with good retention and thick lacing; surprisingly good looking. Aroma of wheaty, grainy malt and tart lemon with a lightly mineral note. Flavor is mild lager malt and lemon, very straightforward. Lingering lemonade in the finish. Light to medium bodied with a good light creaminess. I didn't have big expectations from this, but it was the last Josephsbrau beer style from Trader Joe's I had never tried. It delivers on the style, a mixture of light lager and lemonade. Somewhat bland, although the finish is leaves a long lasting lemonade taste on the tongue. Like most in this series, it's a pedestrian, but adequate beer for the price. I'm drinking it out of season, as this would be a refreshing, light, summer beer. Looks great and has a nice mouth feel for the ABV, delivers beer and lemon as promised.
