Purchased as part of the release at Bar Volo February 27th 2016. Served at 7deg C in a wine glass.
A- Pours well and keeps a tiny head that lasted for around 3mins or so before film out. Very dark brown colour.
S- Sour and coconut
T- Super sour and coconut. The coconut overpowers along with the sourness. Just hits you in every respect. Waited until it warmed up a bit and it became a bit more palatable, barely. That coconut just smashed the brew apart
M- Sour and tart. A bit too sour. Watery
O- Too sour, Too much coconut. Just unbalanced. Needs refinement, creaminess and balance.
Food Pairing
This unusual brew is tough to pair as the coconut and sourness is just overpowering. If I had to pair it, I would try it with........ Pad Thai with peanuts and chicken or shrimp. Something spicy. Second selection would be a red coconut curry stir fry. Both would work.
Enjoy
