Quantum Hugs buzzes with a fresh body of golden light hovering in a neural net of Azacca, Idaho7, Motueka, Sabro, and Strata hops. Bouncing from high citrus sparks to low dank notes with all the tropical, fruity, woody, and grass notes squeezed in between.
The Cold IPA is NOT an “IPL” (India Pale Lager). The Cold IPA’s custom malt bill includes Pilsen malts and rice flakes for a light, fresh body while lager yeast and colder fermentation highlight the dry-hopped nuances at the end of fermentation.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, from my favourite LCBO at The Roundhouse Centre in nearby Windsor. My fifth beer from the Barrie, ON brewery.

Pours a clear golden color with a soapy white head. Beautiful beer. The nose is a nice mix of citrus and resiny pine, which is where the taste lands. The mouthfeel is crisp and very dry, adding to the drinkability. I’d drink this again.

A very flavorful IPA. Pours a bronze hue with a thick foam head. Aromas are of pine and lemon which carry into the flavor. Light malt backbone. Very little sweetness.

L: Transparent medium straw yellow, lots of rising bubbles, thick lasting foamy white head and some lacing
S: Amazing strong fruity aroma, notes of peachy stonefruit and melon, earthy and doughy yeast, smells like summer
T: Much more subtle fruitiness than the smell. Slightly astringent, resiny, and grassy. A hint of bitterness and toasted hops on the finish. Hop forward but not overbearing.
F: Medium body, moderate carbonation, not too dry, but the finish feels a bit flat
O: This reminds me of all the great IPAs I had in the summer sun after work with some BBQ, fantastic!

Got this at the LCBO
From a 473ml can into a pint glass
APPEARANCE: Pours a two finger, foamy white head with good retention. Clear gamboge yellow in color with no carbonation evident. Head slowly fades to a full wisp cap. A good wisp remains the whole way and leaves decent lacing on the glass as it empties.
SMELL: Melon, caramel, honeydew sweetness, some tangerine and pineapple on the nose. Medium strength.
TASTE: Some melon, honeydew flavors, and some hop bitterness at the swallow. An decent finish of hop bitterness, melon sweetness, some notes of caramel and grainy malts linger after the swallow.
PALATE: Medium body with some slightly higher carbonation for the style. Light and foamy on the palate, goes down fine and finishes a bit dry. Some bitterness lingers.
OVERALL: This one is rather unimpressive. Flying Monkeys usually comes through in the clutch, but this one is overly foamy, carbonated, and plenty sweet for the style. Very average at best. Pass.

Pours a bright just short of clear golden orange with two fingers of tight bubbly white head that dissipates to a rocky foam.
Nose hits with piney and grapefruit peel hop aromas with grainy caramel malt base.
Sweet grainy malt, hint of caramel on palate - bright notes of citrus, pine, a bit of dankness and a crisp earthy bitterness.
Mouthfeel is super crisp medium bodied on bright carbonation with a lingering sharp bitterness.

Pours an opaque, orange yellow. Not as unfiltered or ‘hazy’ as other IPAs. I like it
Citrus, hops, lemongrass tea on the nose
Citrus peel, grapefruit, lemon, pleasant malt backbone on the palate
Medium-light bodied, very dry finish aided not quite by a purely astringent sense but a fair balance between dry, sweet, bitter, malty, tarty, slight astringency. Great strike here considering there is not a lot of adjuncts here. Other than barley, there’s nothing. No oats, flaked XYZ, wheat, etc. great mouthfeel, good carbonation, plenty of lacing
IIRC, this is a beer they’re selling in the $3.25-3.75 range, which is fair I think for the experience. If it was $5 I’d say it’s a great one and done beer to try, but in the mid range, this is a nice offering and interesting IPA to try. I find it aims to find a good balance and isn’t overwhelming in any one direction, not in palate, nor mouthfeel. Good stuff

Pours clear pale gold with a wispy, smallish head. Lemon curd and some black tea notes in the nose. The taste is hoppy with lots of citrus, lemon, grapefruit and some cider in there too. Pale and caramel malts in the back, never too prominent. The mouthfeel is light bodied with medium carbonation. High bitterness and some herbal tartness in the long finish.
A nice IPA with a unique hop profile. I'll seek it out again.

I bought a can at the LCBO in Ontario 473ml at 6.1%.
Poured into glass with a 2 finger creamy head.
Well balanced flavors not overpowering just right .
Enjoyable and refreshing to drink
Would buy it again.
Cheers
