The evolution of Flying Monkeys continues.
Hazy light amber pour with a whispy white head that left a few spots of lace. Sweet citrus, pine and caramel on the nose along with a prominent leafiness. Big hop flavour could do with a little more balance to prevent it from becoming hop juice, but its still good as it is. Lots of citrus and pine delivering a good bitterness that is only tempered somewhat by a honey sweetness. Medium bodied but very low carbonation, and I think this is one that would probably work better on a regular tap than cask.
Only a DIPA in the Ontario sense of the style.

Had this on cask at C'est What's 2010 Fall Festival of Craft Beer. This is a variation of the Smash Bomb, which I love, so I was excited to try this. Pours an amber-orange colour with thin white head and nice lacing. Smells of fresh citrus and pine hops with some sweetness from the honey. Flavour is quite bitter, punches higher than the listed 65 IBU. Drinkability was excellent because after I went through all the beers I hadn't tried yet, I ordered a pint of this (only beer I did that with).
I'd be more likely to call this a big single IPA than a double IPA because of the 6%abv, but whatever it is, it is delicious and I hope they brew this again (or do similar experiments).

Hits DIPA territory with a 65 IBU, and some moderation there. Orange-amber colour, with lace. It does shred the tongue, citrus hops and honeyish balance, but it is nicely drinkable Hoppy aroma.Medium mouthfeel.C'est What Fall Festival 2010. A nice variation.
