On cask at the C'est What Fall Festival. Into a pint glass. 22 IBUs.
Poured a dark brown, some burgundy highlights with almost no head - some bubbles, not unusual for the serving method. Semi-translucent body. Nose has lots of milk chocolate and vanilla beans, with a nice gentle sweetness easily attributable to both of theses components. Taste reflects this well but the vanilla shines a little more nicely, more sweet chocolate and distinct vanilla beans. Light sweetness, and the chocolate prevails in the finish. Some French Vanilla coffee comes in late, but that could easily be an artifact of strong vanilla and some subtle coffee notes. Light medium body with typical cask carbonation, good drinkability and a pleasant pint to move through. Could be much better on draught I'd guess, more body and a more adequate carbonation would make this real nice. Solid nonetheless.
