Salutations From The Shadows
Darkness blooms in the shadows where sly sweetness prowls through hidden depths of dusky dreams.

Hops: Idaho 7, Chinook
TASTE
Inky blackberries prowl through this 8.3% ABV dark, roasty Imperial IPA dream shaded with evergreen hops and glints of citrus. Nuances of cocoa and coffee notes ripple in the gloaming underpinning the fleeting moments of lightness.

Call it an Imperial Black IPA or a Black DIPA, this mahogany-hued delicacy combines jammy blackberry terpenes, evergreen hops & dark, roasty malts for the journey to a dappled and dreamy Eden of craft beer.
SERVE WITH
Balance this Black DIPA hoppiness and roasty malts with sweet, sticky wings; quaff it with basil-topped wood-fired pizza; or, enjoy next to a light sponge cake topped with fresh berries and cream.

Pours completely black with a frothy, everlasting head and loads of lace clinging to the glass. The aroma is of tropical hops, Swedish berries and a backdrop of roasty malts. The taste is a mix of raspberry and strawberry with mango, pineapple hops and roasted dark malts. Creamy carbonation in the full bodied mouthfeel. Moderate bitterness and lingering field berries in the long finish.
An interesting take on a Black IPA. Lots of berry notes but not overshadowing the standard components of the style.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 473mL in a pint glass. From the University Ave. West LCBO in nearby downtown Windsor. Canned January 22/26. My 29th beer from the Barrie, Ontario brewery, and 7th for 2026. Astoundingly adored by Sundae the cat...
