Deep brown with some ruby points, light off white head, no lace. Smell is roasty with a good dose of coffee, cocoa and a fairly big hop bill, a touch of smoke, this is a delightful roasty nose though overall. Taste is roasty with coffee and milk chocolate, light sweetness with some bittersweet chocolate and earthy hops. Lightly carbonated, medium body, decent feel but seems lacking and not as 'robust' as the name would suggest. Quite drinkable stuff with good porter flavours but more mouthfeel would have been appreciated.
