Came here a lot 2014-15 and a few times since. Can't get some of the fine Belgian ales that are available here in NH due to distribution issues. Well worth the drive. Good selection that differs from my local shops.

I've shopped here for years but just noticed I've never rated it. Stopped in here last weekend on the way home from Portland. Its in a strip mall with Hannaford as its anchor. Small square store with wine on the right and beer on the left. Warm rack 16 ft long or so with some other stuff piled on the floor and maybe 10 doors in the cooler dedicated to beer. Many Maine locals with a few I dint know existed. selection is great service was friendly pricing a bit on the high side but this is a touristy area. I go back whenever I'm in the area for my Maine beer fix.

Located in Wells, just about 5 minutes away from RT 1, this nice little store that has a lot of options for singles that don't look like they've been sitting there too long. The store itself seems well kept and the service was pretty good as well. Nice selection of glassware in the front of the store. Hombrewing equipment and ingredients are in the middle of the store. If I lived closer, I'd probably be making this a go-to store of mine.

Really great store off historic highway Route 1.
Nicely laid out inside with a lot of beer. One of my favorite features also is that there is a lot of single broken up items here, and many are not that old either. I love variety in singles and this place is full of them.
There's a very good selection of local Maine items, but the highly coveted items go fast. Service is also very nice here, a woman helped me out who might be the owner and was very knowledgeable about the products for anything I asked. Selection is a little more basic, but strongly excels on local items which is key for me looking for something different outside where I live.
They even sell a little bit of homebrewing ingredients and equipment to boot!
Fantastic place and a great stop that's very worthy if you are in the area.

Went there this past August (staying @ a hotel within walking distance), had been there before, about 2 years ago. Located in a small strip mall, just off Route 1. Traffic on Route 1 is epic during the summer, so plan accordingly. It is small, but has a nice, well organized selection, with lots of local proper brews. I found the staffected to be friendly, and knowledgeable.

Very arrogant employee when I stopped in on July 5th.i asked about availability of substance, epiphany and other locally crafted beers. Beer dude recited release schedules and informed me that these brews sell out in an hour. I understand this but it did not inspire him to engage in any beer talk about alternative selections or any banter at all. He simply walked away and joined his coworker behind the register. I did see ruination 2.0 in the cooler. Not wanting to take a cold 6 pack out of cooler to only sit in my car for many hours, I inquired of mr. Happy if they had a warm 6 of ruination. He then explained that cooling down a cold beer and then cooling it after it has warmed does no harm and that this belief that it does is a falsehood spread by Budweiser and their marketing team. Good to know but it did not answer my question if they had a warm 6 available. I thought someone looking to drink the beer sooner than I would want the last 6 from the cooler. Anyway, left tully's empty handed. Too bad one deuce employee harmed the overall quality exhibited by the stores wide range of beers on the shelf.

This unassuming store in a strip mall is hiding a great stash of beer. Their selection was great with plenty of Maine brews along with an expansive selection of imports. The staff is very knowledgeable about their current stock and beer in general.

Staff very friendly, great advice and knowledge, eager to help.
Amazing selection of Craft beer, I was mainly looking for Brew Dog and Dogfish Head, and they had pretty much everything including seasonal and limited releases as well.
They did have an amazing selection of import too, Belgium, Germany, Uk, etc.
Will absolutely go back!

In addition to an excellent selection, Tully's has a stellar atmosphere and very high quality service. The staff is always proactive in helping each and every customer, whether it's explaining various styles of beer or making recommendations based on personal tastes. Selection is very good and prices are fair and reasonable. They also update their Facebook page every time a new beer comes in making it extremely convenient for their customers. I'd highly recommend Tully's if you find yourself in the southern Maine area in need of some quality craft beer!

First off this is the cleanest beer store I've ever been in. Selection was excellent, best German section I've ever seen as well. Pricing was typical for Maine. The cashier was helping me the whole time, very friendly and knowledgeable. Told me about some rare stuff, particularly 120 minute he had in the back room. Glanced at the wine and it was a very decent selection of stuff that you don't find everywhere. Huge glass section and lots of cigars, I smoke a lot of cigars, and they have some good stuff. Again clean and inviting, very pleasant. Singles out of 6 packs! love that, not enough stores do that. this place will be a regular stop for me.

I love stopping at random bottle shops and hunting for the rare finds, it's my kind of "hunting" so-to-speak. At Tulley's "hunting" is useless because the selection is so ridiculous I surpassed my budget in less then five minutes. Picture a 5-year old running into Toys-R-Us, that was me this afternoon. Greatest shop I've ever been to. Cheers.

We visited Tully’s for the first time while on a quick get-away to Ogunquit. It was recommended by a waitress as THE spot for craft beers. When we found the store, our feeling was "oh no...it’s a strip mall liquor store", but that was quickly replaced by "Oh my God, this is pretty darned fine". Selection was huge, well organized by style, sub-categorized by brewery. Lots of choices, and the very well-educated staff was quite helpful. This was a great experience versus the typical trip to the package store. Intelligent conversation about excellent beer in a nice, tidy store. Prices were OK - some things higher, some things lower than my local stores. An Ogunquit weekender isn't unreasonable for us, so definitely worth the couple of extra miles.
Edited 04/21 This store had fallen off a bit for us to the point where we stopped visiting. It seemed to have become overly cluttered and was drifting away from the beer and wine focus a bit. I am happy to say that we recently stopped in and found the store tidied up and very focused on Maine beers. Wide selection, microorganisms by brewery, and enough rarities if you want to go that way.

I stopped in on way home from the Allagash brewery in Portland. Only 5 minutes off the highway. A nice clean and organized store. A little pricey though.
A lot of great beers from Maine here, as well as some great choices from around the US. A good selection of Belgians, but nothing I have not see before in Maine. There was also a good selection of German stuff as well. I ended up just stocking up on some Maine Beer goodies while I was there. There is also a nice selection of glassware for sale too.
The service there was nice. Seemed like a friendly store.
In all this store was a nice find, and I definitely will stop in again if I am in the area.

Worth the detour driving to Portland, this ending up having the best selection of my stops in Maine, with service and organization. Not a megastore in NY, NJ, or Mass. nevertheless tries to get everything local and the better beers from afar as well. A little pricey, but almost anything I wanted was here, with the bonus of a few Shelton brothers' selections that were sold out elsewhere.Servuce was good and consistently being offered, there was wi-fi so I can check my apps before buying. The owner is not necessarily a beer geek, but gets in what the people want and is available to her.

Great place, finally stpped in today. I found that this store had an extensive selection of beers ranging from domestics, imports and microbrews. They also are able to get the infamous Sam Adams Utopias when they are released. Also offered were a varity of beer glasses of all types to choose from. I was impressed at the fact that it looks like a hole in the wall joint, but the clerks there were very knowledgable and the atomsphere was filled with beer enthusiast. They also have a great selection of cigars and wines if you also enjoy those. This is certainly going to become a regular destination for my beers!

In a nondescript mall on Route 1 between The Yorks and Kennebunkport sits this store. Doesn’t look like much from the outside (except for the specialty beer glassware), but hold on, go inside! There are cigars here, and a ton of wine (not the greatest selection, though). Plus beer!!
Look for the sizable Dogfish selections, including Namaste, Pangea, Sahtea, Olde School. Then move on to the shelf full of bombers and six packs. There is Brooklyn Monster ’10 and Chocolate Stout ’11-’12; North Coast Old Stock ’11 and Brother Thelonius; Jolly Pumpkin La Parcela, White Birch, Bar Harbor, Allagash, Maine and a ton of locals.
The “imports shelf” comes with Mikkeller, Pannepot and a variety of Belgians. They also have a large cooler with six-packs you can mix and match and buy by the single. I like that! A four-pack of Weyerbacher Insanity caught my attention in this department.
The guy in charge was very nice and offered help and suggestions, but I did not like the lack of prices on most of the beer. When I asked, they seemed to be all over, but my Weyerbacher Tiny and Double Simcoe were nicely priced at $7.50 each.
A great choice for this part of Coastal Maine. Heck, probably the only high-quality one...

I was in Maine on vacation and wanted to stop by since I had heard about this beer a good store to stop by while in the area. Tully’s does have the fortunes of being on a main road and is easy to find in a shopping plaza so I was able to find it easy. I was happy to find that the stories of this store’s great selection was not exaggerated. There was many locals and craft beer selections as well as some great imports to choose from. I spent a lot of time going up and down the aisles looking at what was available and having a tough time deciding what I wanted to get on this venture. I visited on a quiet and rainy Monday night so I pretty much had the place to myself and the help was friendly and accommodating. I will be here again.

Walk into the store and you have 2 racks that have beer glasses on them. They have a good assortment of Belgium beers and some German ones on the bottom. Usual macro and micro's to choose from. A large amount of beer that is refrigerated. They also a good selection of local beers from Maine and New Hampshire.
Decent selection of wine and cigars but no liquor.
Prices were reasonable for what we got.
I spend some time in the area this time of year and I always leave Tully's with a nice assortment of brew for my vacation. Great beer store.

Hands down, the best beer store i've ever been to. I went with the intention of finding some Maine Beer Co. Lunch IPA, and they had multiple cases with a batch date only a week old. Extensive selction of Stone Beers, and a good mix between local brews, imports, sixers, and bombers. The owner was EXTREMELY knowledgable of all of the beers I inquired about and asked probing questions to make great selections. She also impressed me with multiple examples of efforts to source additional product from difficult locations.
Very impressive selection of beer, wine, and even glassware. The prices were very competetive and well worth the drive to Wells. I will be making frequent trips from Dover, NH and I recommend you all do the same!
Thanks Tully!

Dawn has improved her selection and prices over the years, the newer location in the Hannaford mall gives her double the space. I take exception to Beancounter's claim that display cases are exposed to sunlight, the store front faces north and the display cases closest to the front door (the large selection of Belgians, Europeans) are on an east wall where NO sunlight hits. As near as I can tell her claim that she has the most in Northern New England is true, I have been to all the major stores listed in BA, and over 650 beer choices is excellent. Her prices are reasonable and fair and her staff seems to be able to remember what is new for me - they have passion which gives the store a good atmosphere. Huge selection of Belgians that are the same as or cheaper than other liquor stores.
Beer is my luxury and this is the place to enjoy getting the hard to find.

I stopped on my way back from Acadia National Park to try to get some products that are not available in MA. Was greeted by four different employees asking if I needed help, which I didn't... just perusing their selection.
The selection was okay. small store that carries only beer and wine. While I was there (maybe 20 minutes) the employees must have been asked 6 or 7 times if they sold hard alcohol between in-person customers and on the phone. To their credit they were pleasant about it, directing people to the grocery store next door and the exact aisle number it can be found in.
Only a few products that I cannot find in MA, but I had already found those for a bit cheaper at a store I stopped at in Portland an hour earlier. Of course, they are located in a beach town, so the prices are going to be at a premium.
I ended up leaving without purchasing anything. There were a couple of brews I almost pulled the trigger on, but ultimately nothing that wowed me. If I was in the area and needed a beer, I'd stop here, but I wouldn't go out of my way (again) to visit.

Walked in and was greeted by a women who was friendly and seemed fairly knowledgeable. She asked what I was looking for, and I said "anything that I can't get in New Hampshire" She said "well just look around".
and that's what I did.
The atmosphere was average. Nothing special, clean but not any different than most "high end" beer stores.
Quality. This is where I have a big issue. I noticed at least two seasonal brews that were on the shelf..from last seasons offerings.
Further, they had two display cases that were right in front of the entrance and were exposed to sunlight, possibly direct sunlight during certain parts of the day.

The prices were average to high.

I took the trip to the Allagash Brewery in Portland, and on the way down stopped at Tully's on the way back to Connecticut. I was incredibly impressed by a strong selection of Maine and regional craft beers that take up about half of the shop (leaving only half for wine). Obviously, a 50/50 split means they're serious about craft beer.
This is a great stop for out of Mainers to pick up local beer - namely, I picked up Peeper Ale (Maine Brewing Company) and selections from the Atlantic Brewing Company and Bar Harbor Brewing Company that don't receive high-level distribution in far Southern New England. They offer great flexibility for 'make your own' six-packs - a plus if you're looking for variety.
Since Wells is in the far south of Maine, let this be your 'gateway to Maine beer'. Staff (notably Christy (sp?)) were extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and eager to talk beer. Overall, this place offered a phenomenal experience.
