Sampled at the brewpub, it comes out a cloudy slightly orangish gold under a two finger snow white head with nice contour and good retention, leaving pretty good lacing. The nose has a strong sweet floral content that is quite different from other renditions of the style and very pleasant. The mouth is light and very mildly carbonated. The taste is unusual, but quite enjoyable. The malt is cornbread sweet without the corn flavor. A bit of hops adds a slight bitter note, but the malt dominates. Not quite as crisp as the style usually demands, but the malt is convincingly smooth. Works for me.
