On tap at the brewery in SE Portland. Thanks to ramnuts for bringing me over there!
A: Pours a surprisingly dark amber body, borderline opaque but ultimately translucent with a ruby tint when held up to the light. The head is limpid at best: a half-finger of eggshell white foam that retains poorly, recedes into a film on the drink, and leaves a few trails of bubbles down the sides of the glass.
S: Green, grassy hops; nuts, caramel, and bread.
T: Surprisingly bready, nutty. Some caramel in there as well. The fresh hops come in a bright, leafy, grassy profile that makes the beer taste slightly slick and... unfinished somehow. I'm not a brewer, so I can't really put it in better terms right now.
M: Medium-bodied, slightly low carbonation. Slick mouthfeel, sticky and coating.
D: Not the best beer I've ever had. As ramnuts pointed out, Roots has a much better regular lineup.

A gentle, agreeable ale with notable restraint for a fresh hop showcase beer. A slightly grassy flavor alerts me to its wet hop identity, but no appreciable tannins or chlorophyll intrude. The flavor is of gentle malt sweetness and green hop goodness apparently built on an ESB platform but with some nutty alt qualities in evidence. Color is beautiful deep oak with great clarity. Simple, balanced, and clean.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
