The beer pours a deep, dark black color with a thick frothy tan head that slowly fades to lacing. The aroma is good. It has a thick, rich malty scent that boasts of black, chocolate, and roasted malts along with a tart raspberry aroma that is subtle, but good. The taste is good also. It has a rich black malt flavor with a smooth raspberry finish. It has a chocolate edge to it as well. The mouthfeel is decent. It is a medium bodied beer with adequate carbonation. This is a fine brew. It has good flavor and aroma. I just wish it had a little more body.
