Nice fresh taste. Refreshing Christmas tastes with ginger and cinnamon.

My first beer from my second shipment from Beer Drop, a great way to get Colorado brews.
This may be the most elevated beer I've ever drunk.
I should explain that Pug Ryan's brews at 9,158 feet; where it is lots more work to boil water... and all but the most simple yeasts might find the air scarce. But, Pug's makes lots of lagers and their cash cow is a Munich Dunkel. And this winter lager is in that tradition.
Looks my average. Smells mostly of sweet Munich malts, but there is holiday cinnamon. Tastes the same, only a modest hops for balance and some ginger to purify the body and soul. Finishes clean and bubbly enough. I might have rated this higher if I had not drunk it so cold. Let it warm.
OA: A nice crisp lager to drink before dinner on a cold day that barely got into the teens. Had some hearty crackers and a hard swiss as appetizers. All good.
As for my obligatory micro-review... You gotta love Pug. Brewing in The Rockies and next to a large Reservoir some 80 miles from Denver. Their connection to the world is I-70 nearby, but to many who visit... this is Paradise. Nice to offer good, crisp lagers and welcome visitors.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
