375 ml bottles served cold into pint glass. Straight from the brewery retail store at over $4 per pop. Review from notes.
Appearance - brownish red color, I think roan is the appropriate term here. No head or lacing, some clarity with some haze.
Smell - balsamic notes with sour cherry mostly. Some wood and possibly white grape.
Taste - balsamic, some (very sour and tart) cherries. Wood and then wine like flavor with grapes comes in. Finishes more mellow with wood. Bursting with intense flavors.
Mouthfeel - dry finish, medium to heavy bodied especially for the style, carbonation is pretty good.
Overall - an enjoyable and flavourful sour Flanders ale that I would like to purchase more of but might hesitate given the cost.
