Bottle-Deeper amber colour with a good cap of froth. Mineral infused sweet malts, fresh floral hops, a touch of dark bread and a hint of bubblegum. Aromas are very fresh, almost czech style floral hops, candies, gum, lots of leafy hops. I see the creemore reference, but this is actually much better. This brewer is getting better every time I have one of their beers. Thanks John!

Surprisingly tasty, though aroma is cow poo. I believe an English hop, significantly malted. Harsh mid sip through finish with higher than desired carbonation. They claim this is natural carbonation, with all natural ingredients. A decent transition beer.Sampled at LCBO

Ground floor opportunity to taste a new Nickel Brook brew before official release. Bottle filled that day at the brewery.

Puts an orange-amber lager in the pilsner flute with a great 3 finger frothy off white cap that retains well and laces the glass easily.

Subtle aromas of Caramel malts, spice, some tart apple and grassy hops. ( this one smells like Creemore used to back in the day....)

Medium bodied with an adequate Munich malt spine....sticky, chewey mouth feel.

Big malts up front give you a hit of caramel muffin dough balanced off well with some citrus hops and sharp fruity tartness ( from ale yeast byproducts?) finishes wet with great malt decernment and some light metallic after tastes...well rounded flavor profile..amazingly like old Creemore but smoother and this one is very drinkable.

If I had to nail this beer’s charater I’d have to compare it to the old Creemore brew with all the sharp ale-like character and big malty spine but smoothed out and a tad sweeter in the finish. This is a well made quality lager that will occupy my beer fridge where the Creemore used to...it tastes like Creemore ( if not marginally better) but does not bear the new Creemore increased price tag.
