On cask at Victory Festival.
Pours a lightly hazy dark orange, some brown, no head really forms, just a few bubbles hanging out around the glass. Smell is neat, very malty, some molasses, touch of roast, caramel sweetness, lots of dark fruit, lightly floral, pretty interesting. Taste is similar, very malty up front with lots of dark fruitiness, some raisin and molasses, floral hops, a bit strange but neat, reminds me of a tones down barleywine a bit in the profile. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with low carbonation. Not great but pretty interesting and drinkable.

At Victory cask fest. Surprisingly, it is an ESB with a black colour. Little cask bubbles in around the rim. Sweet aroma, like chocolate malts to bring out the colour. Orange juice, and subordinated bitterness. The Compass series is alright, and another passable Better Bitters that at most pushes the envelope but an inch.
