Bottle at Volo. Hoppy saison, with the hops not overpowering but the showcase. Cascade orange citrus taste smooth and prevalent above all. Galena hops adding to the gentle bitterness, this beer can pass as an American pale. Very smooth medium mouthfeel. Decent drinkability.Very fresh and lots of head.

330ml bottle. ½ Pint glass. Enjoyed on jul´12. Pale golden in color, chill hazy look. Froth is white, creamy & shows good retention. Crystal malt aroma, bready hues, earthy & spicy touch to the nose. Wheat texture & flavor at first sip followed by slightly citric & subtle fruity notes. Strong bitterness is shown in the early middle leaving a earthy & spicy palate. Medium body, moderate carbonation. A beer where hops play an important role both in flavor & aroma while overwhelm malts. Long astringent & citric finish. Saison-style but close to the border line. Complex beer worth to try.

On tap the eagles nest amsterdam: hazy orange, Belgian lace. Hoppy aroma, touch of cellar celery hi-alpha hop. Mild phenols of mace, worty malt, and hop flavor. Finishes a nice malty dry bitter. Could almost pass for a phenolic ipa. Dangerously drinkable.

On tap @ Blue Monk in Buffalo.
Presented with a nice copper, clear brew with a small white cap that died pretty quick, minimal lacing if any.
Hard to pick smells out in a bar but it was very yeast forward.
Taste was heavy yeast leaning on a smoky rye/band aid malt which was actually pretty easy to drink, became much more balanced as it warmed and may have been served a bit too cold.
Mouthfeel was nice and chewy, very nice with this one.
Overall this beer would have 3 good+ sips and then would have one very odd one. I wouldn't go out of my way for it but it was nice to try and certainly thirst quenching and different.
