Clear, dark mahogany with chestnut accents forming a small, light tan head with ok retention and lacing. Aroma interestingly starts with grapes, sweet milk chocolate, and mild floral hops. Taste is ruddy and earthen, with an odd sourness and unpolite acidity. Burnt coffee and a overly potent herbal bitterness contribute to the dry woody finish. Mouthfeel is sharp with a thin body. Yuck. Definitely note a good porter, and the weakest brew of those sampled.
