The beer is clear amber, with an off-white head, a small lacing.
Smelling faintly of toffee and candy.
The taste is sweet, syrup, toffee, honey. Some orange notes.
Medium carbonation, soft and small bubbles.
Sweeter than expected, could have been balanced by more hops.

Appearance: brown, good clarity, thinnish layer of tan foam that flattens to a cap of cream
Aroma: strong bready malt, hint of iron, a waft of herbal hops, ølebrød
Flavor: smooth malt sweetness, raisins, brown sugar, rust, rugbrød, grain, hint of nuttiness, herbal hop flavor, finishes semi-sweet without much bitterness
Mouthfeel: medium body, gentle carbonation, smooth texture
Other comments: Nice malty ale but could use a tad more bittering maybe. Then again, Scoth ales aren't really bittered and no one faults THEM for that!
Not sure why it's categorized as an Herbed/Spiced beer, though.
