A: The beer is essentially jet black in color—only traces of dark brown are visible near the edge of the glass when it is held up to a bright light. It poured with a short light beige head that quickly faded away, leaving only a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of dark and chocolate malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of dark malts, chocolate malts and cola with hints of toffee.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer almost seems more like a Euro Dark Lager than an English Stout as it has a much lighter mouthfeel compared to what you would normally expect.

A dark black brown beer, a tan head - rather large, settling slowly and leaves good lacing.
The smell has burned notes, malt and some coffee.
The taste is upfront sweet, dark dried fruits and chocolate, burned bread crust and some bitter coffee.
Medium low carbonation, small bubbles, soft and with a nice body.
A really nice, not complex, but nice stout.

The liquid is pinch black; the high firm head is brown.
Notes of cheap chocolate dominate the smell. Some bitter-sour notes, roasted malt and lots of sweetness, too.
The beer got notes of chocolate and cocoa. Some caramel sauce and anonymous bitterness. The flavours are full-bodied. The aftertaste brings some cocoa and nuts.
The carbonation is mild, but the small bubbles are quite sharp. The liquid is smooth and a little thick.
An OK stout, but the flavours lacks depth and complexity.

Another bottle bought during my beertour in Denmark earlier this year.
A: Black as a dark hole. Thin lightbrown head.
S: Liquorice, coffee, roasted malt. Typical stout.
T: Plenty of roasted malt and coffee here too. A bit of caramel and some hops can be detected too.
M: Creamy and rich with low carbonation. Yummy.
Not a bad stout at all. Very well balanced with a pleasant taste. Give it a go!

Appearance - Pours an opaque dark-brown/black. Poured a bit too fast and got a large foamy head that retained quite well. Virtually no lace.
Smell - Alcohol and a hint of caramel.
Taste - Roasted malts and coffee. Also a hint of sweetness, maybe toffee. Finish is bitter with a strong aftertaste.
Mouthfeel - Thick and smooth.
Drinkability - Very drinkable for a stout.
Notes - Not as overwhelming as many other stouts. Easy to drink. Had it with a heavy thanksgiving meal.

look: 3.5 | smell: 3.5 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 4 | overall: 3.5
Appearance: dark brown, not quite opaque, big spongey layer of foam that slowly falls in on itself, good clarity
Aroma: bready malt with a roast/coffee undercurrent, light whiff of hops
Flavor: grainy malt base with a more roasty/dark-grain taste than coffee notes, hint of rust, unsweetened chocolate, lagery hop flavor and bitterness, finish is semi-sweet with an aftertaste of dark grain and a slight vegetal flavor
Mouthfeel: medium-full body, zippy carbonation, soft texture, subtle warming
Other comments: It's a pretty nice stout, but seems closer to a porter. I'd like it more if it was a little fuller in the roast component.
