Copenhagen 10/6 2018. 66 cl bottle from Netto. Frejdahls usual design with the chubby boar trudging along and signatures from the Brew Master and his hang around.
Pours hazy, murky amber with a medium-sized white head. Settles as a thin almost transparent layer of foam crawling up the side of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is sweet and fairly intense. Caramel, toffee, light roast, figs, lightly sugary.
Medium strong carbonation. Lively mouth sensation. Thin texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by slightly weaker bitterness. Fairly well balanced. Aftertaste is sweet. Lingering caramel.
A bit thin for a Dubbel. But nice enough sweet and dunkel beer.

500 ml bottle, as Frejdahl Sigurd Belgisk Dubbel, from BilkaToGo, Denmark. ABV is 6.3%. Clear brown colour, moderate off-white head. Aroma of brown kandij sugar syrup, caramel, Belgian ale yeast and dried figs. The flavour has the same elements, but is not too sweet. Hints of mild spices. Very moderate hops. Nice enough to drink.
