Copenhagen 3/10 2018. 66 cl bottle from Netto, Utterslevvej, Kbh NV. The usual Frejdahl design with a lot of Viking Paraphernalia this time what looks like a Tribal Tattoo. Tagline: "Will Wake Your Inner Viking".
Pours hazy orange with medium-sized white head. Settles as thin layer of foam barely able to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is a little weak for a DIPA. Fruity decay and alcohol. Fermented exotic fruit with lighter notes of citrus and lemon.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly prickly texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with light sweet undercurrent. Lingers for a while.
Decent DIPA. I would not have expected the Vikings to enjoy a IPA. But then again they were traveling folks.

500 ml bottle, as Frejdahl Fafner Imperial IPA, from BilkaToGo, Skalborg. ABV is 7.9%. Orange to amber colour, large white head. Distinct aroma of piney hops, also hints of dust, grain, oranges and grapefruit. The flavour is medium sweet with sufficient malts, and a fairly distinct piney / resinous and grapefruity bitterness.
