This year, you will be treated to a beautiful nutty brown, Belgian-inspired dark dubbel. The taste is dominated by the sweetness of the caramel syrup and ends with a pleasant, fruity character. This year, the brewmaster has experimented with spruce to give the beer an extra Christmassy atmosphere and a distinctive taste. Merry Christmas.

Copenhagen 8/11 2020. 66 cl bottle from SuperBrugsen, Brønshøj Torv, Brønshøj. Drawing of a young Peter Willemoes in uniform on the label (he looks more into firing cannons than celebrating Christmas).
Pours murky, dark amber with a big yellow-ish head. Settles as thin but frothy layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer and crawling up the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweetish odor with a light spicy odors mingling with sugary sweet fumes and tart, citric notes. Celery, pine needles. Brown sugar and caramel. Clementine peel.
Medium carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a moderate sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish. Lingers shortly. Finish is semi-dry.
A bit thin take on a Dubbet but the subtle addition of Christmas flavors works quite well.
