Ruby Red | Sweet | Spicy
A nutty brown ale brewed for the holidays with dark caramel malts and ale malt. The beer is spiced with cinnamon and cloves, which gives a pleasant aroma in close interaction with roasted malt and fruity aromas. The taste is round and with a soft sweetness that complements the spicy scent of Christmas. An inviting Christmas beer with a pleasant malty aftertaste.

Copenhagen 29/1 2022. 33 cl can from SuperBrugsen, Frederikssundsvej, Brønshøj. Very red can with ice crystals.
Pours clear mahogany with a red hue and mid-sized off-white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin, patchy, remnants of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer.
Aroma is fairly intense and sugary sweet and a bit cloying with a solid dose of Christmas spice. . Sweet malts, white sugar, raisins, plums, alcohol. Brown Christmas cookies. Cinnamon and ginger.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, greasy, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a heavy sweetness followed by a very moderate sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and laden with Cinnamon. Bitter undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is sugary.
Almost a stereotype of the very sweet Christmas Beer loaded to the brim with sweet Christmas Spice. Not to my taste.
